About Greg

Greg Sgammato is a composer and songwriter in Los Angeles, California. He loves music with humor, horns, and a third thing. His debut album, 'Et cetera,' serves as a calling card for his maximalist musical style.

Greg's work in television and film includes the animated series pilot of The Marching Pride of Cadence High and Jared Sprouse’s comedy-thriller Party USA.

His first breakthrough came in the Los Angeles standup comedy scene, writing podcast theme music for comedians Brian Simpson, Craig Conant, Carmen Morales, Ehsan Ahmad, Nikki Bon, Deric Poston, and Ahmed Al-kadri.

Greg is currently the Media Coordinator for The Society of Composers & Lyricists and previously held positions in the marketing departments of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Los Angeles Theatre Center. He is also frequently sought out as a freelance vocalist, percussionist, video editor and graphic designer.

Greg received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of North Texas, where he studied percussion performance, composition, and arts marketing. He is currently a voting member of The Society of Composers & Lyricists and is on the communications committee of the Copyright Alliance.

When not writing music, Greg can be found taking long walks on Ventura Boulevard or cooking for his wife, Kim, and their countless imaginary pet cats.
